2nd Annual Kind Hearted Campout - A Vegan Community Convergence

Description

The Kind Hearted Campout is California’s first and only all-vegan camping festival, with a diverse and powerful itinerary of music, discussions, activism workshops, games, art activities, yoga classes and dance parties. The Campout is a family and dog-friendly event. Food and beverages will be provided by sponsors including Follow Your Heart, Local Roots Kombucha and Minor Figures. Attendees will also receive a commemorative t-shirt designed by local artist, Alex Enriquez.

The event schedule includes Nonviolent Communication training with Eva Hamer and workshops with community organizer, Gwenna Hunter and documentarian, Raven Deerbrook.

The event was extended for an additional day this year and is again being held at a historic, 67-acre ranch in the Cleveland National Forest that was once owned by Nate Harrison, a former slave who was the first African American homesteader in San Diego county. Surrounded by hundreds of oak trees in an untouched part of Palomar Mountain, Harrison Serenity Ranch features extensive hiking trails, viewing decks, an amphitheater, outdoor showers and more.
