3-Day Finding Your Creative Voice in Mixed Media with Deborah Maklowski

Description

In this three-session series, we will take a hands-on approach to learning about mixed media materials, techniques, and methods, as you create three small abstract artworks. You’ll be able to try out different acrylic mediums, gels, and pastes and learn how to use them to achieve special effects. We’ll explore the almost infinite design possibilities to be found in the confluence of juicy paint, colorful collaged papers and tapes, shimmering metal leaf, and 3-D additions such as beads, stones, shells, twigs, broken jewelry parts, hardware bits, and assorted found objects. A supply list is included below class and an $18 materials fee will be paid to the instructor on the day of class.

Before they can attend, all students must present a valid Covid vaccination card, showing that a booster shot was received at least 2 weeks before the first class. Masks are required.
