On August 7, 2021 (also known as The First Saturday in August), we will celebrate our 50th occasion of the Chicago Back to School “Beach Party” Cookout. The Morehouse College and Spelman College Alumni Association Chapters of Chicago invite all SpelHouse Alumni, current students, and incoming Freshmen to join us Burnham Park to celebrate scholarship and achievement.

Our program will focus on commemorating 50 YEARS of the Chicago Beach Party while celebrating the newest Freshman Class will begin promptly at 2:00 PM.

Our event will follow City of Chicago COVID protocol as it stands at that time. Food will be provided by Windy City Ribs and Whiskey (https://windycityribs.net/) and prepackaged to limit contact.

Feel free to come and set up your own 10x10 tents if you prefer, but we will also have tents, tables, and chairs provided for your comfort.
