A Bridge of Memories is a participatory workshop exploring memory-keeping through theatre. Over the course of one hour, teaching artist Mohammed Yabdri will lead participants in exploring acting skills, using memories as materials to bring new scenes to life. Each participant is asked to bring a picture that represents a memory they’d like to explore. The workshop is open to up to 15 participants of all ages and backgrounds. Participants interested in exploring memory-keeping in the aftermath of war or displacement are especially welcome to take part. This bilingual workshop will be accessible in both Arabic and English. Pre-registration is required.

جسر الذكريات هي ورشة عمل تشاركية تستكشف حفظ الذاكرة من خلال المسرح. سيقود الفنان محمد يبادري المشاركين على مدار ساعة واحدة في اكتشاف مهارات التمثيل، واستخدام الذكريات كمواد لإحياء مشاهد جديدة. يُطلب من كل مشارك من المشاركين إحضار صورة تمثل ذكرى يرغبون في استكشافها. ورشة العمل مفتوحة لما يصل إلى 15 مشاركًا من جميع الأعمار والخلفيات. نرحب بشكل خاص بالمشاركين المهتمين باستكشاف حفظ الذاكرة في أعقاب الحرب أو النزوح. ستكون ورشة العمل ثنائية اللغة متاحة باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية. التسجيل المسبق مطلوب.

BIO:

Mohammed Yabdri is an award-winning Algerian actor and director. He has participated in over 50 theatre shows locally and internationally, and has appeared in over 200 television episodes. As a teaching artist, Mohammed specializes in acting, clowning, and physical theatre. His international career has included audiences in France, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Turkey, Cameroon, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain. Locally, Mohammed has worked with Stages Theatre Company, Mixed Blood Theatre, and Frank Theatre.

محمد يبدري ممثل ومخرج جزائري حائز على جوائز. شارك في أكثر من 50 عرضًا مسرحيًا محليًا ودوليًا، وظهر في أكثر من ٢٠٠ حلقة تلفزيونية. بصفته فنانًا تدريسيًا، يتخصص محمد في التمثيل والتهريج والمسرح الحركي. شملت مسيرته الدولية جماهير في فرنسا تونس الجزائر المغرب تركيا الكاميرون المملكة العربية السعودية قطر والبحرين. محليًا، عمل محمد مع Stages Theatre Company, Mixed Blood Theatre, and Frank Theatre.
