LOS ANGELES, CA – Théâtre Raymond Kabbaz (TRK), the performance space at Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles, in partnership with the Alliance Française of Los Angeles, is pleased to present A Night of Short French Films in Los Angeles as part of its season of in-person events on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 8:00pm.

We didn’t let a pesky global pandemic get in the way of presenting some of the best short French films being made today! Now in its thirteenth year straight, A Night of Short French Films honors French cinema and the innovative traditions in filmmaking being developed there since the very first motion picture was screened in Paris in 1895.

In this new collection of 6 French shorts, half of which have female directors at the helm, we delve into films with a distinctly French style, selected from the top French festival circuit, including one Oscar shortlist. Along with the free wine and cheese tasting at intermission, you’ll feel that “je ne sais quoi” happening all over.

So throw those sweatpants aside, create your best French look, get out of the house, and marvel at the new French directors and actors until now unknown to Hollywood but who may yet have prolific careers there! Vote for your favorite short in our Audience Awards! The film with the highest overall score is the winner. The winner Audience Award will be sent the results along with a congratulatory letter.

The program is presented in two one-hour long sessions and includes a 15-minute intermission with complimentary wine and cheese tasting with each ticket purchase.

Ticket sales end on eventbrite on February 9 at 10:00pm. Please visit TRK.US.COM for additional tickets!
