Annual Friendship Dinner and Award Ceremony

Description

Please join us on Thursday, April 28 at 6:00 p.m. for the Dialogue Institute’s Friendship Dinner and Award Ceremony honoring Dr. Bob Long with St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Mr. Gene Rainbolt of Bancfirst and Dr. Kayse Shrum with Oklahoma State University. They will be recognized for their efforts to promote respect, mutual understanding and cooperation among our richly diverse communities. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the OSU scholarship fund for resettled Afghan students to continue their college education.

We will also be welcoming guests from the Oklahoma legislature, leaders from the interfaith community, friends from the business community, and academicians belonging to various institutes of Oklahoma. The mission of our endeavors is to build interfaith and intercultural understanding through shared experiences. The award program provides the opportunity to learn about best practices and become better acquainted with neighbors.

The evening will begin with a silent auction, followed by a customary Ramadan Iftar dinner at sunset (8:15 p.m.) Suggested attire semi-formal.
