Artist Tool Talk: Spotlight Presentation on Artist Amy Sherald

Join us for an Artist Tool Talk presentation by ArtSpan artist Debra Reabock that will spotlight contemporary female artist Amy Sherald, an African-American painter known for her portrait of Michelle Obama and paintings addressing issues of social injustice in black culture.

Debra will discuss Amy’s iconic work which was recently on view at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art as well as her Obama portraits presently on exhibition at the San Francisco deYoung museum 6/18 - 8/14. Find inspiration by learning how Amy had to overcome many trials and tribulations to become the world renowned artist she is today
