Are you interested in making a difference in a non-running capacity? Consider becoming a next steps volunteer! During this time, you will be matched with a member to work with one on one. Our mentors meet with members virtually or in person every week or every other week. You and your member will be able to choose where and when works best for each party to check in! This opportunity will allow you and our members to work towards their goals, search for jobs, and expand their toolbox as they gain more and more confidence every day!

Orientation will be done virtually on Zoom. Zoom information will be sent out the day of the orientation

Primary role to support staff in programming for Next Steps members

Responsibilities include:

One on one member job searching sessions

Utilization of Accenture Learning Exchange with members

Weekly check-in's with members

Other check in support could include a variety of activities including conducting credit checks, budgeting assistance, interview prep, assistance in obtaining ID or Driver's License, referrals to community resources

Documentation and data tracking

Communicating with BoMF staff regarding wins, issues, and any financial aid opportunities or requests

Follow up check-ins post initial employment obtained
