Beautiful Barriers: Street Art Beyond Walls Closing Reception

Description

Beautiful Barriers: Street Art Beyond Walls is the newest exhibition from the artist collective Soho Renaissance Factory. (SRF) and CocoRedoux.

The SRF artists, who met while painting individually, joined forces to beautify and help heal the city by creating Street Museums on the plywood barriers covering storefronts in Soho during the first wave of the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement. The exhibition features original murals painted by SRF in Soho during the 2020 shutdowns. During the exhibition, visitors can also experience the group’s artistic process via the live creation of new artworks.

Additionally, CocoRedoux, the “art-cycled” apparel, accessories, and objects brand, will partner with SRF to bring to life an art x pop-up retail experience featuring the live creation of a wide range of art-cycled products designed by CocoRedoux x SRF. These unique, customized, and creative art-cycled products will include apparel, accessories, skateboards, and more,

Participating artists include SRF members Konstance Patton, Amir Diop, Sule, Calicho Arevalo, Manuel Pulla, Brendan T. McNally, with guest artists Eyeantic, OPTIMONYC, Vanessa Kreytak, and 0H10M1ke.

This concept and experience is developed and produced by Makeable, the creative, innovation, and artist management agency.
