This event will cover getting started in freelance journalism while being Black and tips on how to make the process easier. The following topics will be discussed:

• What it means to be Black in Journalism/Media
• The Pitching Process and How to Pitch
• The state of the Industry and How to Build Community

The event will be on zoom, and tickets are sliding scale. The goal of this workshop is to be accessible and a resource for Black people to learn, connect and create.
