BIlly Rob’s Summer of Soul is the all star revue of master singers and musicians from Chicago’s Soul golden era. Playing songs from the 60’s,70s, 80s with the powerhouse Committee horns.

Aurora~Official Debut Performance~

Bill Robinson - Musical Director, leads the band with over 50yrs of musical experience. Bill has recorded with artists including Jackie Wilson, Tyrone Davis, the Chi-Lites, Lost Generation, and the Artistics.

Willie White - Slick, R&B sensation since the 70's, brings with him the smooth sounds of Johnnie Taylor. Willie recorded with Coday Records and has toured around the country. He was Bobby Rush’s Musical Director. Junkin Song, Party Hardy, Thang for You, and Taking Me for Granted are among his hits.

Mary Lane - The Last of the Women Blues Legends has been recording and performing since the 50s and recently had her documentary titled “Can Only be Mary Lane” released. Her hits include Some People Say I’m Crazy, Real Good Bad Feeling, and I Don’t Want No Man Telling Me what To Do.

Mike Boogie - The name says it all! He's the leader, vocalist, and guitarist for Chicagoland’s premiere R&B latin funk band RITMO.

The Committee Horns - Chicago’s breakout brass section. This high powered, funk

ensemble has fueled many bands with their soulful and expressive sounds.

The Snap Band is composed of the best R&B and funk Soul musicians in the midwest club scene.
