BMS Presents: Beer & Beats at 18th Ward Brewing

Description

This summer, Brooklyn Music School is creating the first music festival of its kind combining two of life’s best things: great music and great beer! BMS will be bringing free live music from students, faculty, and special guest artists to Brooklyn Breweries every other Saturday from July to September. Thanks to the generosity of the participating breweries, every beer sold at the festival raises money for the non-profit music school. Festival merch will also be available for sale, with all proceeds benefiting performing arts education at BMS. Participating breweries are Strong Rope Brewery, Five Boroughs Brewing Co, Wild East Brewing Co, 18th Ward Brewing, Finback Brooklyn, and Brooklyn Brewery.

“Our goal for the Beer and Beats Festival is to engage and connect with our community on a larger scale, while also generating revenue and audiences for local businesses and local artists. The event also doubles as a fundraiser for BMS!” - Emery Major, BMS Marketing Associate and Beer & Beats Festival Co-Producer

The fourth festival date will take place at 18th Ward Brewing in East Williamsburg on August 20th from 3-6 PM. The event will feature music from BMS’ brand new adult student bands, faculty, and special guests. To learn more about the festival and stay up to date, visit the festival website and sign up for the Beer & Beats Festival mailing list here.

BMS’ mission is to enrich the Brooklyn community through high-quality and accessible performing arts education. By stopping by for great beer and great music, you’re investing in the Brooklyn community. If you or your company is interested in becoming a festival sponsor, please send BMS’ Development Director Dr. Donna Banks a message at dbanks@brooklynmusicschool.org.

This summer, show up and show out for performing arts education, Brooklyn’s community of music makers, and some incredible local craft beers!
