Fifteen local chefs from some of Charlotte's favorite establishments, and a few retired ones, are serving up dishes in a stationed format, offering up a wide range of styles and flavors.

This dinner will also serve as a platform to help raise awareness of organ donations and transplant procedures. Beyond this year's benefit dinner, Chef Bowling wants to keep this effort going to help others going through the same battle he has.

"This is important to me, because I not only want to bring awareness of the process but also the financial hardships that come with it," Bowling says. The funds will go toward medical bills and associated expenses related to the nature of the regional transplant.

Moving forward, the leftover funds from the charity dinner will go to forming TRANSPLANT Aid, a non- profit that offers assistance to other families who go through similar transplant procedures.

The speaker for the evening is Susan Walker. Mrs. Walker has worked with the dialysis center for years and is a kidney donor herself. Her thought process was simple, "I can live a great life with one, why shouldn't someone have the same opportunities I have."

Here's a sneak peak at some of the items that will be auctioned off during the silent auction:

* Dinner for 2 at Sante

* Sweet Treats by Jazina's Creations

* Gift Card from Massage Envy

* ServeSafe Managers Class for 4

* Garnet Gals Jam Basket
