Workit Health is excited to welcome special guest π¨ Brandon Novak π¨ to share his story at a free community event in honor of National Recovery Month.
πΉ Brandon dazzled spectators for years as a professional skateboarder discovered by Tony Hawk as a child prodigy. He rose to fame on the hit MTV show Viva la Bam and the Jackass movies. In recovery after spending 20 years hooked on heroin, Brandon wrote the best-selling addiction memoir, Dreamseller. His latest book, The Streets of Baltimore, where Brandon was born, is out now.
πΉ Brandon will be sharing his recovery story with the Workit Health community, detailing his journey with substance abuse and opening up about finally achieving sobriety after 13 inpatient treatment attempts. Brandonβs story is a triumph of perseverance. Now with 7 years of sobriety, Brandon is a Certified Intervention Professional who shares the tools and tips that have allowed him to help hundreds of families with interventions and working 12-step programs.
