September Topic: En-Roads and the Inflation Reduction Act
The Inflation Reduction Act is the biggest climate bill in U.S. history. With nearly $370 billion dedicated to climate iniatives, it is expected to reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions to 40% of 2005 levels by 2030.
But how does climate spending lead to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions?
Join CCL volunteers Cliff Strawitch & Jeff Turner for a qualitative demonstration of the impacts of the climate policies in the Inflation Reduction Act. Using the climate solutions simulator En-ROADS, we'll learn more about how different policies can impact greenhouse gas emissions, and what else we will need to do to reach President Biden's pledge to reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions to 50% of 2005 levels by 2030.
