And we are so glad you came! We hope to see you next year!

We are A TWO-DAY FAMILY FRIENDLY FESTIVAL with multiple stages featuring an exciting variety of folk/roots/Americana performers. Are you itching to catch some live roots music in a great outdoor setting? Come to our community festival event!

Food trucks on site all day as well as a beer concession tent (limited hours) & seating pavilion. PLEASE NOTE: You are not permitted to bring your own alcohol onto Metro Park grounds.

Our SATURDAY EVENING HEADLINER – We’re excited to bring you the dynamic and acclaimed Peoria, IL based band: THE WAY DOWN WANDERERS. Inside tent seating must be reserved. You can do a direct reservation here: TheWayDownWanderers_INSIDE TENT SEATING RESERVATIONS. Inside tent seating is limited to 200. Know that lawn seating is always available, should inside tent seating fill up. Be sure to save your seat reservations to present at the door (more instructions at Seat Reservation link).

The festival also brings to you 30+ music workshops (with something for everyone), an ongoing jam tent showcasing various genres (all welcome), engaging children's activities and Nature tent, instrument building for young adults, Festival Store, Heart Beat Drum Circle(s), and internationally touring Saturday Evening HEADLINER act: THE WAY DOWN WANDERERS.

Are you curious about trying out an instrument for the first time – guitar, ukulele, harp, Native American flute, or even "rhythm bones"? There will be beginner workshops with some loaner instruments available!

FESTIVAL ENTRY – Beginning in 2022, there will no longer be a separate ticket fee for the Saturday Evening concert or the workshops. All festival events will be accessible by anyone entering the grounds. We will set up donation tents at the entrance. To make this "new way" successful, we’re encouraging donations. Know that your generous $$ support makes all of this possible!

DONATIONS can be made on-site or pre-event on this page. For a donation of $20 or more, you’ll get a fun flexible flyer, a cookie and a sticker (while supplies last)! If you donate $20 or more here, just bring your donation receipt to get your free “fun stuff”.

WHAT DO FOLKS SAY ABOUT US? – Comments from some of our past festival attendees: “What a show! I attended Cari Ray on Saturday and the Scottish Airs on Sunday. When I met the host of craftsmen while in your shop, the folk scene spoke and all made for a lasting memory.” . . . . “Love it! Awesome way to introduce our kids to folk music.” . . . . “Thank you so much for allowing us to be a small part of this glorious event! Everything about the festival glowed with professionalism and heart and we absolutely loved it !!!”

COVID PRECAUTIONS – The festival is held in an outdoor space and there will be ventilation allowances inside performance and workshop tents. Necessary COVID precautions will be taken as determined by needs at the time. Due to COVID, there will be NO Dance Tent (2022 only).

The festival is produced by the Columbus Folk Music Society in collaboration with the Metro Parks and co-sponsored by WCBE 90.5FM.  Festival is held in the Big Meadows area of Highbanks Metro Park.
