Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT)

Description

TheeSeeds LCC. has developed a standardized and localized Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT) Curriculum. Students will learn the basics of interior and exterior maintenance and repair, electrical repair and maintenance, plumbing repair and maintenance, HVAC maintenance and repair, appliance repair and maintenance, and CAMT soft skills.

The entire curriculum:

  • encompasses a total of 36 hours of training
  • uses English language as a medium of instruction.

Educational Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Must provide proof of a High School Diploma or a GED (send directly to Maryland Addiction and Behavioral-health Professionals Certification Board). Student may provide college transcripts in lieu of High School Diploma or GED.

To obtain the CAMT credential, candidates must complete the following:

  • Minimum of 12 months of apartment or rental housing maintenance experience. (This can be obtained while taking the course, you will receive a provisional certificate until this requirement is met.)
  • Successful completion of all CAMT coursework
  • Pass the examination
