CHARLESTON GREEN DRINKS: Clean & Sustainable Energy

Description

CHARLESTON GREEN DRINKS 2022: OCTOBER

‘CLEAN ENERGY’

OCTOBER 18 @ 6PM

COMMONHOUSE ALEWORKS

PARK CIRCLE / NORTH CHS

This month we will focus on clean and sustainable energy options, with an emphasis on residential programs, resources, and more.

Co-hosts this month include

Sustainability Institute – who will be sharing information on advancing sustainable energy/ efficiency and conservation in commercial buildings through their Charleston RISES green certification program, as well as in the residential space through their weatherization/ home performance + critical home repair projects.

Conservation Voters of South Carolina – who will be talking about current electric utility rate hikes, ways to get involved, and the legislative and regulatory outlook for the next year.

Our organizational co-hosts will provide brief intros, followed by tabling time and open networking, giving us all the chance to both dig deeper into the issues and better connect with one another.

The CGD steering committee will be meeting at Commonhouse Aleworks from 5pm-6pm and we are encouraging other environmental groups to consider scheduling their own meetings/gatherings on site in a similar way. It’s a chance to get out of the office early, beat the traffic, and maybe create some synergistic energy in the process
