Children's Summer Fishing Lessons

Description

Have your children join Conservancy staff and Lake Geneva Fishing Club volunteers for a fishing lesson! We will go over how to hook bait, identify fish, and tie knots before we teach your kids how to catch their first fish.

This year, we'll be fishing off the MUNICIPAL PIER IN WILLIAMS BAY, located at 15 E Geneva St.

Life vests, beginner's fishing poles, and bait will be provided. Please bring a water bottle and sunscreen.

We encourage parents to stay for the duration of the lesson. These lessons are available to children aged 4-12. Please note that the lessons will be capped at 25 students and sign-up is on a first come-first serve basis.

We will meet by the bathrooms, west of the Williams Bay Municipal Pier. Park across the street or drop off in the drop-off area by the Police Department and bathrooms. Please do not pull into the Boat Launch area for drop off.

In the event of rain/bad weather, we will meet down the street at the fishing barn at Helen Rohner Children's Fishing Park, located at 159 Elkhorn Rd, Williams Bay.

Please direct any questions to Maddie, GLC Community Outreach Manager, at outreach@genevalakeconservancy.org.

We've updated our fishing safety policy. You are required to electronically agree to our safety policy and the terms outlined in this form in order for your child to participate in our lessons. Please view our safety policy here before registering: https://bit.ly/fishingsafety
