Submerge yourself in the wonderful world behind your favorite chocolate!

During this talk you will dive deep into the topics of cacao and chocolate. Where does it come from and how is chocolate made? Is it really that addictive, and what is the real situation around child labor and other challenges we hear about?

This talk lasts 1.5 hours and consists of 3 parts: a presentation, a short taste training and we will taste 4 chocolates.

You will learn to taste chocolate like a professional. Because, just like with wine, there is a whole philosophy behind tasting chocolate. After this, chocolate will never be the same. Better, with more attention to detail, taste and the makers and producers behind your favorite chocolate.

About the talented and passionate speaker

This presentation will be provided by Marika van Santvoort, a cacao and chocolate expert from the Netherlands.

She has been working on sustainability challenges for almost a decade. She is the founder of Pacha de Cacao, a purpose driven food scale up that works with the ‘cacao waste’ to produce it into new products and provide higher incomes to farmers.

She has been one of the experts working with Cultcheers from the beginning.
