Ciderside Chats (A Spirit & Place Festival Event)

Description

How have your tastes been shaped by your community and/or family of origin? How do you use food to connect with new acquaintances and old friends? How might food open new spaces for community, connection, and cooperation?

Both food and stories shape who we are and how we identify. This event invites attendees to reflect on how food has shaped who they are by listening to featured food stories and then perhaps telling their own stories at an open mic!

Limited, free food, adult beverages, and nonalcoholic refreshments available, with options for additional purchase. Guests under the age of 21 may attend. Guests may mask-up as preferred.

A partnership between Marian University Department of Media, Design, and Communication; and Ash & Elm Cider Company. A 2022 Spirit & Place Festival Event!

ABOUT SPIRIT & PLACE: The Spirit & Place Festival (Nov. 3-13) celebrates the powerful role the arts, humanities, and religion play in community life and is housed in the IU School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI. Learn more at spiritandplace.org.
