Description

This workshop is designed for those who already have an understanding of Restorative Justice/Practices and experience sitting in Circle. We will focus on the design of Circles and ways to serve as the keeper to build community, have difficult conversations, and repair harm. The Circle Keeper is critical to the success of the Circle, serving as the organizer of the group and holding a variety of roles and responsibilities. Getting trained specifically as a Circle Keeper will enable you to lead Circles more confidently, increasing the access to and availability of Circles in your community.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Learn about the specific roles, responsibilities and tasks of the Circle Keeper
  • Learn to create and keep Circles to build community, Circles for difficult conversations and Circles to address harm.
  • Learn how to design effective Circles for your specific situation
  • Learn how to create a safe environment where people can share
  • Learn experientially by participating in, designing and leading Circles
