Circle of Women Transitioning into Elderhood

Description

Modern Western cultures have all but forgotten the important role that Elders have played for millennia the world over: contributing to the health and resilience of their communities by offering council and sharing wisdom from decades of life experience. It is time to shift the paradigm, change the narrative and co-create a future in which the value that Elders offer in community health and resilience is acknowledged, welcomed and respected.

This FREE Online Circle is open to all female-identified people, facilitated by Wellness and Restorative Practitioner Cat Pantaleo M.A. We will meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 6:00-7:30pm MST via Zoom in a sacred container where all are respected.

Opportunities will be created for participants to

  • Give voice to their questions, concerns, joys, challenges and grief associated with aging
  • Invite Elders in their lives to share their wisdom for the benefit of all so that women can support and nourish themselves and one another,
  • Offer their uniques gifts to the Circle with the intention to empower each other to step into our Crone years with grace, fortitude, optimal health and confidence.
  • Co-create a new narrative whereby aging is viewed as the natural order of life, and that instead of it being the beginning of the end, it is a new beginning – one of growth, healing, creativity and empowerment.

This offering is intended to

  • Empower those gathered in re-defining what it means to age and become an Elder/the beauty of what it means to age
  • Facilitate the co-creation of a culture/community that respects and appreciates its Elders
  • Support each participant emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually on their journey through facilitated discussion and invitations of self-exploration, story-telling, deep listening, ritual and celebration.
