The City of Bloomington is assessing its current business inclusion practices in an effort to develop a meaningful and comprehensive supplier diversity program. It seeks to engage City of Bloomington staff and departments to solicit meaningful insight and collaboration prior to creating and implementing a supplier diversity program.

The City of Bloomington’s Purchasing Department, in collaboration with Strong & Starlike Consulting, Inc., will host seven (7) Staff Listening & Sharing Engagement Sessions from June 2022 through August 2022.

Through a series of facilitated discussions, the engagements will help identify: 1) Any barriers or gaps in understanding that may hinder supplier diversity efforts; 2) Existing organizational structures that may support infrastructure needed to advance supplier diversity; and 3) Creative opportunities to create an impactful and sustainable supplier diversity program.

Engagement 7: This session is open to all City Department Directors.

Location: Virtual, via Zoom

Staff Shareback: After all sessions have been completed we are planning to update those engaged on what was shared and what we heard.
