Clay Day Tuesday Morning Class: All Level hand-building and throwing

Description

Come to class with an idea of what you'd like to accomplish and Lois will help you get there!

Create pieces by hand-building, throwing, or a combination of both techniques. The instructor guides you through a variety of methods to build, decorate, and glaze your ceramic projects. Designed for all levels, this class is a great introduction to ceramic fundamentals, with skill-building, and aesthetic development of each student’s individual interests. For beginners, the first class will be hand-building basics. If you have experience, you can start on the wheel or right into the project of your choice. Advanced students will get individual instruction on their areas of interest.

THERE WILL BE NO CLASS ON December 21st IN OBSERVANCE OF THE HOLIDAYS

This is your time to play or get serious with clay. You decide on what you want to learn. Come to class with an idea of what you want to make, or what technique you want to master, and let's have some fun!

Six (6) three-hour classes meeting Tuesdays from 10 am-1 pm with Lois Sharpe. This class is for beginner through intermediate level potters and includes both hand-building and throwing.

Glazes and firing for up to 10 pieces. Students will be provided one (1) block of cone 6 clay via All Hands Pottery and may choose to provide some of their own tools and decorating options. Other clay is available for purchase through All Hands Pottery. Guidance for firing pieces will be provided – added dimensions of any one piece are not to exceed 24” to conserve and maximize kiln space (example: height 4”, width 8”, length 12” = 24”). Additional pieces may be fired at a fee.
