Collage Club - Evening Arts Class

Description

Collage Club - Evening Arts Class image

Collage Club is kind of workshop, kind of coffee evening, but mostly time and space to take a moment for yourself and do a bit of collaging. One evening once a month Short & Few opens its cabin doors for a bit of time to cut and stick. It's somewhere between mindful, collaborative and crafting for adults - only it's twilight, so maybe with a cocktail or two!

It is held on the first Wednesday of each month in the Short & Few cabin, Ben Rhydding (LS29). For an hour and a half, there is time and space to put everything aside and just do some mindful arts and crafts, with support and guidance from a trained art and design tutor. There might be a theme we work to; it could be abstract shapes; or we could go rogue and make something weird and wonderful with sausages and spoons.

  • It starts at 7pm and finishes at 8.30pm.
  • BYO drinks if you want, otherwise tea and coffee is provided.
  • All equipment and materials are provided, and you get to take away whatever you make. Ideas for mini projects are welcome.
  • There's plenty of on-street parking available, as well as easy bus/train access.
  • Unfortunately the cabin is not wheelchair accessible.

To cover costs, Collage Club works on a 'Pay As You Feel' basis (payable on the evening by cash or card), with a suggestion of £12 for the 90 minutes. You can also leave whenever you need to.

There's only 6 chairs around the table, so it's limited in that way - but in no way exclusive. Anyone who wants some down time to cut and stick is welcome, and on a first-come-first-served basis.
