Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) has proven to be effective in the treatment of trauma, depression, anxiety, and personality disorders, etc. It focuses on 4 key topics: mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness (communication, boundaries, and expectations in relationships).
This is a peer-led DBT support group, not a clinical therapy group.
The workbook used is: The Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills Workbook by Matthew McKay, Jeffrey Would, and Jeffrey Brantley.
