This a a great single day introductory class to the art of stained glass!

Bring your own design ideas to this stained glass suncatcher class! Learn how to design your own suncatcher template, cut glass, apply copper foil, and solder together.

We will design the suncatcher, choose and cut the glass, and shape the glass with grinders. The best beginner designs consist of simple shapes and stay around a dozen pieces. Think contour line drawings, like a coloring page. The maximum size for our suncatchers for this class will be 8.5x5.5" (half a sheet of printer paper). You can also come with your design pre-drawn in pencil so that adjustments may be made.

Once the glass is prepared, we will apply copper foil and solder together to create our suncatchers!

All tools and materials provided. You may wish to add specific beads or other findings to your design. I do have some on hand, but feel free to bring your own. Seashells, small glass pieces, or old jewelry are all great options.

We will be working with sharp glass, hot tools, and chemicals. Safety glasses and nitrile gloves are provided. A signed liability waiver is required to participate in this class.
