Early Readers Garden Club

Description

This event is designed for early readers, ages 3-6. Adult supervision is required and participation welcome! We will read aloud Plants Feed Me by Lizzy Rockwell and learn how to finger tap sounds at this Club meeting.

Garden gates open 9:30am-10:30am (to try to beat the heat). Please wear sunscreen, insect repellant, hats, sunglasses, etc as needed. Bring your own water bottle (we can refill bottles). Older and younger siblings can attend for free as long as they are supervised by an adult.

Agenda of Fun:

10-15 minutes - Scavenger hunt with parent in garden

10-15 minutes - Literacy mini-lesson in garden (take home flyer)

20 minutes - Garden-based activity

10 minute - Read aloud of a garden story and goodbyes

Costs:

$10 per 1st child, $5 per additional child participating in the lessons.

*Pay for 2 visits in advance and we will email a "Bring-A-Friend-Free" pass for any 1 of those 2 visits.
