Event Description:

Over the course of two Saturdays, this special, in-person professional training will deepen understanding of recovery as a developmental process from active addiction through ongoing recovery and as an integration of addiction recovery theory and practice, mental health and trauma. It will outline the developmental model of recovery and introduce you to The Addictions Institute San Francisco with Dr. Stephanie Brown and Mary Kennedy LCSW.

Drawing on over 40 years of research, writing, teaching and clinical work, Dr. Brown will lead participants in an overview of the developmental model of recovery and how to think about recovery as a process with individuals and families. Through lecture, handouts, discussion and Q&A, the training will educate and prepare clinicians to bring the theory of the developmental model of recovery to their practices.

This training is for practitioners new to the developmental model and for those interested in deepening their understanding and application of the model. LMFTs, PhDs, PsyDs, LCSWs, LMHCs and MDs welcome.
