Encaustic Photo-Transfer Workshop with Shauna Martin:

Turn your own photo into an encaustic works of art!

In this specialty workshop, you’ll be using your own black and white photos and tissue paper of all colors to create beautifully layered compositions! We’ll also be doing some incising and tinting the surface with pigment sticks. ALL supplies included. We have plenty of supplies here but you are welcome to bring more; your favorite color in oil paint or stick or your favorite tissue paper (plain or pattern). This 2 hour workshop is designed for artists of all levels, even those new to encaustic painting. To save time, Shauna will contact you via email to send your favorite B&W image . She will have it printed for you and ready to go for class. Don’t worry, she will also walk you through the entire printing process so that you can easily continue this exciting medium in your own home. You will leave this workshop with your very own 8”x10” encaustic work of art on wood!

Other items students may want to bring are: apron and disposable nitrile gloves.
