About This Class

• This course is ONE DAY - EIGHT HOURS.
• PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY for check-in, 15 MINUTES early if possible
• Frontier Firearms is ADA-compliant. If you have difficulty standing, hearing, reading, or need assistance in any other way, please call 865/ 376-0793 or let your instructor know at check-in.
• No late pregnancy shooters are allowed due to health concerns from sound percussion.

• Refunds are only possible seven or more days before the event date. Unfortunately, we cannot refund Eventbrite booking fees.
• Until the day of class, you may transfer your ticket(s) to another course at no charge.
• If you miss class, we cannot refund your Ticket because expenses were incurred on your behalf even though you failed to attend. However, you may purchase a transfer ticket for $25 plus a small Eventbrite processing fee. Please call to obtain the code needed to buy a TRANSFER TICKET (865-376-0793).
• Classes may be rescheduled if fewer than five students signup.

More About Our Handgun Carry Permit Class

Our course is taught in our State inspected and certified indoor shooting range. The Handgun Permit Course is open to sixteen or older men and women. However, to obtain a permit, you must be within twelve months of your twenty-first birthday and must be twenty-one years old before applying for a Permit. Please note that applications and class certifications expire twelve months from your class. Tennessee mandates class length at eight (8) hours, excluding lunch.

What You Will Learn

In Our Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit class, you will learn:

• Permit qualification and application process
• Firearm safety and maintenance
• State and Federal laws relating to handgun carry
• When deadly force may be justified
• Criminal & civil ramifications of using deadly force
• Handgun and ammunition instruction*
• Firing range protocol and marksmanship
• In the Classroom: Each student must take a short written exam.
• On the Range: Each student must shoot a short course of handgun fire in our modern, clean indoor range consisting of firing 50 rounds: 20 rounds at three yards, 20 rounds at five yards, and ten rounds at seven yards.
• Students are NOT required to shoot the same handgun they wish to carry. Therefore, you should feel free to bring and shoot your 22LR pistol or revolver. Or purchase the Premium Ticket, which includes a gun and ammunition.

For this course, you will need:

• Your valid Driver's License with your current address
• A handgun in safe working condition with 50 rounds of factory ammunition - no reloads, or;
• Purchase our Premium Ticket that includes the use of a pistol and the ammunition you need for class.
• Comfortable clothing (ladies, please do not wear low tops because empty shell casings are very hot and can go down your shirt front).
• Pencil and paper
• We provide eye and ear protection,
• For lunch, we serve pizza.
• Bring change for soft drinks and snacks.
• Graduates of this course receive the certification required to apply for a Handgun Carry Permit in the State of Tennessee.

Classes cannot be reserved without payment.

Besides using Eventbrite, you may come to the store and register for a class. Seating is limited, so don't wait until the last minute. If fewer than five students register, we may reschedule the class at no additional cost to you.

Refund Policy

• Ticket refunds are only possible seven or more days before class. After that date, there are NO REFUNDS.
• However, up until your course date, you may transfer your ticket at no charge to another Enhanced Carry Permit Class.
• If you move your ticket to a new class date before your original time has passed, there is no charge to transfer.
• If you miss your class, call (865) 376-0793 for a Promotional Code so you may purchase a PAID TRANSFER $25 ticket.
• We cannot refund Eventbrite fees (unless we cancel your class).
• If we cancel your course, we will issue a credit toward a future class or refund your original payment method.
