Enhancing Motivation: Introduction to the Four Thoughts that Turn the Mind

Description

Join Khedrup Rinpoche (Jigme Kongtul) and Dustin DiPerna on Sunday October 17th for an introductory course on the “Four Thoughts that Turn the Mind to the Dharma”.

The “Four Thoughts” are traditionally taught as practices to help enhance motivation to practice. As foundational teachings, they are the bedrock on a path to deeper insight. The “Four Thoughts” are generally listed as follows:

  • Precious Opportunity
  • Impermanence
  • Cause and Effect
  • Faults of Samsara

This 2.5 hour zoom class is designed to enhance your motivation to practice. We will weave together both theory and meditation to bring the insights gained through contemplation of these four notions into direct experience.

The coming together of these two teachers represents a next generation of collaboration between East and West. This event will be held online. We hope you will join us.
