Hybrid June meeting to catch up on all things in branch with guest speaker Peggy- Ann Fraser. In person or on zoom.

Peggy-Ann is a keen activist on diversity issues. From 2010 to 2016 she was elected at Equity trade union on the executive board. Peggy’s time as an executive focus on issues needed to be placed in the Film Television and Stage Theatre for Black actors. One of the diversity subjects she highlighted and followed with interviews in the Stage & Guardian newspapers. Is the lack of experience amongst beauticians & hairdressers on the film set for Afro Hair and Caribbean skin tones. Months later Peggy voice is successfully heard as BECTU open a training program for hair & make-up film set course to address Afro hair and correct dark shades of make-up.

Peggy-Ann formerly trained Actress at Mountview Drama Accademy.

She has work in Television Drama including

BBC Casulty.

At present she is standing for The Equity Council Elections in the General seat.
