This 8-hour virtual executive education program has been designed by experts in government, industry and academia to help government leaders understand how shared services operate and deliver value, and how to successfully implement them in challenging government environments. The program will be offered in two half-day sessions on back-to-back days (tuition includes both sessions):

Day 1 Topics (June 21, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm)

  • What is shared services? A review of the origins and basic practices and principles of the business model
  • The current state of shared services in the Federal Government
  • Enabling activities in the government environment (budget, finance, acquisition, etc.)
  • Evolution of the business model in industry and government

  • Seizing opportunities and overcoming challenges: critical issues and high leverage implementation strategies
  • Leading transformational change: how to become a shared services evangelist
  • How and where to start your shared services journey
  • Charting a course to the future: insights from leaders who have done it successfully.
