Field Trip: Peace Valley Nature Center

Description

Meet Field Trip Leader Leigh Altadonna at the nature center parking lot for this half--day field trip. This trip will be a mix of walking and driving to various spots in Peace Valley Park to view winter birds along the trails and on Lake Galena. This is generally a great place to see Lesser Black-backed Gulls and to comb the numbers of Canada Geese to see if a Cackling Goose is among the many geese usually found on the lake.

A Note About Our Field Trips:

We ask folks to preregister for our field trips. This provides a means to communicate via email about any last minute changes.

There are instances where the meeting location can change due to road construction, a park closure, weather conditions, or other circumstances. Preregistration also helps our field trip leaders plan a good field trip experience tailored for the number of participants. Plan to arrive a few minutes before the scheduled time of the field trip. The time stated is the STARTING time, not the arrival time. This will give you time to get yourself ready, say hello, visit a restroom and be ready to go. For all day trips, please come prepared with lunch and make sure your vehicle has a full tank of gas.

Participants on a Wyncote Audubon field trip or event agree not to hold the Wyncote Audubon Society or any of its agents responsible for any accidents, losses, damages or injuries resulting from participation in the field trip or event.

We look forward to the resumption of our field trips.
