100 Black Men of Pensacola in association with Onyx Event Space has teamed up with Legal Carry Inc.'s CEO and Florida Legal Carry's founder @InstructorGoldsmith (better known as "Gold E."), for a new Pistol Safety Training (PST:101),non-shooting course, #UnderstandingFirearms.

BY ATTENDING THIS FREE COURSE, YOU WILL BE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE A DISCOUNTED RATE OF FLORIDA LEGAL CARRY'S PISTOL SAFETY TRAINING (PST:111) CERTIFICATE.
Note: You must successfully complete the full curriculum which includes two (2) additional courses; both online and required instructor-led "Live-Fire" training at a shooting range. Upon completion, you will receive an official training certificate from Florida Legal Carry to apply for your own Florida Concealed Weapons license.
This mandatory training for a Concealed Weapons License (CWL) are offered through an available online courses on the Florida Legal Carry website as follows:
- PST:110- Instructor-led lecture (taught online via Zoom or website)
- PST:111-Instructor-led "Live-Fire" (must be completed in person at shooting range)

How much does #UnderstandingFirearms event cost to attend?
This event is 100% free to attend the #UnderstandingFirearms Safety Lecture but no certificates or concealed weapons permits will be issued for those in attendance.
What happens after the FREE class is over? Do I get a certificate?
After finishing Part 1 of our Pistol Safety Training curriculum, it is highly-recommended to continue building a strong foundation of firearms safety by completing the full course at www.floridalegalcarry.com.
So, if I don't get a certificate then how would I qualify for a Florida Concealed Weapons License (CWL)?
You must complete the following below:
- PST:110- Instructor-led video lecture ((Pt.2)exclusively available at Florida Legal Carry)
- PST:111-Instructor-led "Live-Fire" ((Pt.3) must be completed in person at shooting range)
What is the total cost for completing the full PST:111 curriculum?
For attendees of this event, your total cost for completing all required firearms training will discounted up to 50% off the regular cost of training for a reduced $50 total cost. Your total cost DOES NOT include range fees, pistol rental, or ammo.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Must have a driver's license or valid government-issued ID. Ages 18+ may attend the event but YOU MUST BE 21+ to obtain a Concealed Weapons/Firearm license in Florida. Minors ages 12-17 are allowed with parent/guardian. Waivers are required for all who attend including consent of guardian for minors. No pets allowed.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
ECAT transit (Route 2 West) is available by the venue. There is also FREE public street and facility parking available.
What can I bring into the event?
Pen and paper are recommended but not required. Food and beverages may be available for purchase at the venue.

What is the cancellation policy for FREE events?
We ask that you cancel within 72 hours or earlier so that the FREE tickets can be delivered to someone else who will be able to attend. Repeated cancellations and/or no-show to an event will barr a potential customer from any discounts on regular services or admission to a similar FREE event.
If I complete the first two (2) courses of the Pistol Safety Training curriculum, what happens if I am not ready to complete Part 3-PST:111 ("Live-Fire") to get my Concealed Weapons License (CWL)?
All participants who have completed this free course, Part 1-PST:101 (#UnderstandingFirearms) Instructor-led lecture will be will be given up to 30 days to complete Part 2-PST:110 (Instructor-led video lecture) at 50% off regular pr
Part 2-PST:110 (Instructor-led video lecture) to receive the discounted rate of $50/person + fees (.Live-Fire. Additional time extensions may be given at the discretion of the event's instructor.
What if I do not pass Part 3: Live-Fire at the shooting range?
Students may fail Part 3: Live-Fire for gun safety violations such as carelessness, ignorance, or physical limitations that would restrict proper gun handling. Students who show that they are not mentally stable or violate any of the class rules will automatically fail and may be asked to find an alternate instructor for further instruction.
