Forest Glen Woods Walk

Description

This walk includes viewing a spectacular example of our official state tree and the horsetail rush plant.

It will be moderately paced at an intermediate level on both paved and unpaved trails. The ability to navigate over obstacles such as tree roots, fallen trees and climb inclines is needed.

The group will meet near the map/information sign located just inside the parking lot entrance and near the brick building housing the restrooms. The hike leader wears a white cap.

It is suggested that you bring water, insect repellent and wear closed toe footwear suitable for hiking. Some areas will be sunny so a hat and sunscreen are also useful.

Walk starts promptly so please be one time. Participants hike at their own risk.
