This event is a FREE lunch and learn and will be hosted on a Zoom. Neighborhoods will learn about the importance of understanding Fair Housing practices and how Fair Housing provides benefits to your neighborhood.

About the Speakers:

AJ Young is the Fair Housing Project Manager at Prairie State Legal Services. Prairie State serves 36 counties in northern Illinois through 11 offices. In her role at Prairie State, Ms. Young oversees a fair housing testing and enforcement program operating in the Bloomington, Peoria, Rockford and Waukegan areas. Before coming to Prairie State, Ms. Young served as the attorney fellow for The John Marshall Law School Fair Housing Legal Clinic. Ms. Young completed internships at the Illinois Attorney General’s Disability Rights Division and the Chicago Housing Authority. She also worked for a corporate housing provider in Chicago that managed 200+ units in downtown residential high-rise buildings.
