Giving Tuesday 2021: Write for Justice

Description

Please join the Illinois Prison Project on Nov. 30 at 12 p.m. Central for a letter writing fundraiser during GivingTuesday 2021.

IPP represents hundreds of people serving unjust, unnecessary and excessive prison sentences in Illinois. During this event, we'll send letters to incarcerated people, building community with loved ones behind bars and offering messages of support.

Attendees will also learn more about IPP's vital work in freeing people from prison through direct representation, education and systemic advocacy. We'll share ways you can get involved in our fight.

About GivingTuesday

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

About IPP

In two years, IPP has freed more than 60 people from prison, sparing our clients more than seven centuries of prison time and saving taxpayers almost $60 million. Our work is only possible through the generous support from our donors and volunteers. You can donate now or during the event at bit.ly/donateipp. Find ways to get involved on our website.
