Gold Panning 1-3:30 pm, Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology, 2455 Old Penitentiary Rd 83712 (next to the Old Pen). Panning is scheduled in 30-minute increments and takes place outside in the courtyard of the Women's Prison. Museum Members and Youth Free, Non-member Adults $5 plus processing fee. This is great fun for families and all adults, and you might strike it rich!

You'll also want to go inside the museum to discover the interesting and beautiful exhibits that tell the story of Idaho.

Everyone, adults and children, must be pre-registered in the appropriate category for this Gold Panning event. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Children and Museum Members are free. There is a charge for all other adults. Please come at your scheduled time. We encourage everyone to pan.

This event is one day only. In case the event is cancelled by the museum due to weather, you will receive a full refund. It's always a good idea to check your email about 2 hours before the event is to begin.

On-site registration is $7 for non-member adults, if there is an open spot.
