Description

Good Samaritan Hospital will be offering BLS HeartCode sessions for healthcare students. If you need BLS training in 2021 as an admission or continuation requirement for your health care program, the information below will help you to meet that need.

Students will be required to complete the American Heart Association online portion of HeartCode BLS. This site is located at www.onlineaha.org. The cost for this course is $31.00 and the provider manual is included online in the course. You will be given two attempts to complete the test on each $31.00 fee. After successfully completing the online test, you MUST complete the course evaluation in order to get your completion certificate. Print the completion certificate and bring it with you to the skills check session. You will not be allowed to take the skills check session without this certificate. The skills check session will last approximately 2 hours and cost $30.00. During this time, you will have an opportunity to practice the skills learned in the online course prior to a 1:1 skills check off with an instructor. The BLS card is good for 2 years.

For individuals who prefer classroom based courses, GS offers these monthly on Mondays as a first come first serve basis for the cost of $60.00. Class size is limited. Email npdsstaff@gshvin.org to enroll. Students must have an AHA BLS provider manual for this course. These manuals are available for purchase on-line at www.shopcpr.org.

• SUBMITTING PAYMENT IN EVENTBRITE IS VALID ONLY FOR SKILLS CHECK OFF PORTION. YOU MUST PURCHASE AND COMPLETE ONLINE PORTION OF AHA BLS HEARTCODE AS OUTLINED ABOVE.
