It's our intention to share our home for an evening of entertainment. Our backyard is the perfect setting to offer a safe and socially responsible gathering of likeminded folx who enjoy thoughtfully curated events in a memorable space. Our events are All Ages and BYOB. Music events require advance tickets (unless otherwise stated) and 75% of the sales go to our artists. NGHT MARKET is free for all and family friendly. No dogs allowed (as much as we love them).

+ MATTHEW SHELTON +
Matthew is a visual artist and songwriter who grew up in South Carolina, and has spent the past 11 years in Chicago. During his time in Cincinnati, he performed and recorded solo and with his bands The Cat Lovers, Me or the Moon, andn Picnic. His introspective and humorous lyrics are delivered in a deep baritone voice, accompanied by finger-picked guitar or mbira. As a visual artist, he has worked with many mediums, including lightboxes, video, and more traditional mediums. He has 2 upcoming albums: "Watering Can" (solo with guitar) and a "rock and roll" album that he's been finishing forever.

For more than a few decades, Ralph La Charity has been an Open Reader agitator/participant across America's abundant hide. Currently bills himself as poet in private practice, comes up volunteer on short notice hither & yon.
+ Planchette +
Solo experimental cello + effects by CCM alum Nora Barton. Planchette's debut album was released in February 2020, just missing the March lockdown. As a freelance cellist in Chicago, Nora spent the past year canceling gigs and honing recording skills in her bedroom studio. The freedom of improvisation and unpredictable nature of extended techniques encourage Nora to detach from conventional cello and explore a new space. Drawing from extreme frequencies within the sound spectrum, Planchette finds warmth in harsh sounds and unexpected inspiration in the minutiae of near-silence through improvisation, delayed loops, and acoustic resonance.
