Homebrewed Comedy at the John Barleycorn Tavern

The laughter is coming to Owego when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage at the John Barleycorn on Wednesday, Nov. 2. Jax-On is headlining the show and Mike Terry and Kevin Willard are joining host Mike Peters.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m., and there's a recommended $5 donation at the door, which opens at 7. Come out and enjoy the show.

About the comedians:

Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast.

Kevin Willard started doing stand-up in Rochester back in 2018. Since then, he’s performed all over western and central New York and become a host at the Comedy at the Carlson. He reached the finals of the Rochester’s Funniest Person contest in 2021 and will perform anywhere he can.

Mike Terry is an established comedian in the Syracuse scene. Quiet until he gets on the mic, Terry is a strong comic who's worked all over New York. A host at the Funny Bone in Syracuse, Terry was a finalist for a residency at Broadway Comedy Club and was a regular at the 'Cuse Comedy Showcase. He also co-hosts the No Name Podcast with Jax-On.

A Syracuse native who specializes in observational comedy, Jax-On has spent time at the Funny Bone in Syracuse and New York City. He won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and was a finalist in the 2017 Utica Comedy Cup. The host of Jax on a Yak, Jax-On works all over the state, opened for Tammy Pescatelli in Auburn and was selected to appear on Amazon’s Comics Watching Comics at the Broadway Comedy Club.
