How Bad Is it? What the 2022 Midterms Landscape Looks Like

Description

Overview: We now know the outcome of the 2021 elections in Virginia and New Jersey. They weren't good for the Democratic Party. President Joe Biden's public approval ratings are in the low 40s. The Republicans are using Critical Race Theory to raise the specter of White Americans losing power. All of this points to very tough 2022 midterm elections for those of us committed to a more just and inclusive democracy. So just how bad is the outlook? This lecture will address that question by examining key factors that will likely shape American politics in 2022.

Speaker: Professor David Domke, Common Power
