Infant Care Class (IN PERSON or VIRTUAL)

Description

In this class we cover all the basics of life with a newborn. We start with a question and answer session with a local pediatrician. You will learn what to buy, how to bathe a newborn and the importance skin-to-skin newborn contact. You will have an opportunity to practice important skills like how to hold a baby, swaddling and diapering. We will teach newborn safety including how to safely use car seats to how reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome or SIDs.

If possible please bring a partner or support person –ideally someone who will be present in your child's life after you go home. Also, please bring your infant car seat if you already have one (if not no worries).

Please Note: After registering you will receive a link from our childbirth educator for the virtual session.

The cost of the Infant Care Class is $40. Register and pay online by clicking the button above. Please only purchase one registration for your group.

Please note that the Saturday Infant Care class is held on the same day as the breastfeeding class. You do not need to do both classes in one day, but you do have the option of participating in the breastfeeding class in the morning and then staying for the infant care class in the afternoon.
