Intro to 3D Resin Printing (MSLA)

Description

3D printing has become both easier and more affordable with the growth of new machines and software that makes the experience fun and simple.

This two-hour class, taught by Nick Wheary, will cover the basic steps needed to take your digital model and make it come to life off the screen. This will include:

  • Finding your source files and what types can be used
  • Setting up your files in a slicer and what settings to use
  • Preparing the printer for the printing process
  • Steps to take to troubleshoot problems and innovate new ideas

To ensure the maintenance of our machines, either this class or a proficiency test is mandatory to use the onsite printers.

Class is open to ages 16 and up, though minors must be accompanied by an adult taking the class -- the adult must purchase an additional ticket to attend the class.

Guests are asked to be on time for events.

MakerSpace Charlotte is located on the left side of the building, up the ramp. Ring bell for entry.
