Intro to Plant Meditation & Plant Spirit Medicine

Description

Plant “Spirit” Medicine, a paradigm adapted from indigenous practices, touching on learning how to connect with different plant teachers. We will discuss how cultures and people have learned from and work with plants. In this intro workshop, learn the methods in which to work with your local plants in this way.

To meditate with a plant is to learn directly from the plants themselves. You gain knowledge through direct observation, your senses, and creating a space to access your intuition.

We will be creating a container together where we can be present with the “Plant Spirit” and each other. We will then meditate for about 20 minutes. Followed by a community circle to share our experiences. This allows us to learn from each other and gain different perspectives. Information on the indigenous, traditional and modern uses for each plant are also shared and compared to close out the workshop

Cost: Donation Based $0 - $20

James has called Eugene, Oregon home since 2007 and first moved here in 1995. Drawn to the area by the abundance of fresh food, potent medicine, and wild people; James can often be found walking in the old-growth forests and alpine areas of the Cascades respectfully wildcrafting plants and mushrooms, playing in his garden or checking out the local music scene. Or in Ecuador where he occasionally takes small immersion groups for ancestral healing and education.
