My golden hoard of wit, on which a dragon sits, seems to have been all but exhausted after viewing the atrocities being visited upon Ukraine. So I will simply invite you to join Artful Dodgers Poetry for its next virtual open mic on Saturday, April 9th, at 4 p.m. (New York time). Together we might imagine ourselves elsewhere, if not yet in Artful Dodgers' historic venue, the Montauk Club, then on the stage of Mariupol's theater as it must have appeared before the bombing. Let us raise our voices for the freedoms that we have and those which we would wish for others. Easter, Passover, and April Fools' Day will soon be upon us, so let us celebrate while we contemplate. Hide your eggs with us or chew the ears off chocolate bunnies, as you will. Our reading isn't themed, and you may read an homage to the Cat in the Hat if you choose to, or your reflections on the present goings-on.
