Jazz AM May: Billie Holiday for kids

Description

Jazz AM is a series of free Saturday morning programs. It's a fun, interactive jazz concert for young people featuring music, puppets, improvisation, rhythm, and movement!

The next event is Saturday, May 7th, at 10am. The 30 minute program spotlights the music of Billie Holiday!

**Masks are recommended for all patrons. This is a free event, but you will need a ticket for each adult and child. Tickets may be printed or displayed on your smart phone, and must be shown at the door.

The program, facilitated by trained professionals and Jazz musicians, will engage students, encourage creativity, promote collaboration, and build musical awareness for children age 2-10 and families.

“The impact of music on children has and will continue to be a profound part of children’s foundation,” says NJW Executive Director, Eric Dilts. “Learning about Jazz impacts children's’ creativity and musical development even before they learn to play an instrument. We are excited to launch this initiative to the heart of the North Nashville community.”

This is a free event, but you will need a ticket for each adult and child. Tickets may be printed or displayed on your smart phone, and must be shown at the door.

For this event, COVID safety protocols will be followed: protocols will be posted and may change depending on conditions at the time.
